On July 24th, PowerPlay was proud to once again plan and produce the Virginia Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremonies and Athlete Tailgate Party at the River City Sportsplex in Richmond, Virginia. We've been partnering with the Virginia Commonwealth Games on this event since 2019, and it continues to be one of our favorite events each year.
More than 1,000 athletes, families, and spectators came together to celebrate the start of the Games. The evening began with the Athlete Parade, followed by an inspiring Olympic guest speaker before everyone enjoyed the Athlete Tailgate Party.
PowerPlay Experiences provided Soccer Darts, Archery Hoverball, and a variety of tailgate games to keep athletes and spectators engaged throughout the evening. Combined with great food, local vendors, and an exciting atmosphere, the event was a fun way to kick off an incredible weekend of competition.
